1. If you keep buying books, even though you’ve got more than plenty at home to read.

2. If you’re constantly looking at book websites to see what others are reading and whether that one book that’s been on your mind is worth it.

3. If you occasionally insert an author/book reference into a conversation.

4. If you write, even if you’re going for or if you’re already in a different career path, you’ll always find time to scribble down ideas… or even keep a journal! Writers are book lovers by habit, books are what inspires them to write!

5. If you’re one or you want to be one of those parents that endorses reading instead of video games (i.e. A Harry Potter book for Xmas/Hanukah instead of a film or video game), then good for you! Stop the plague of non-reading children!

6. If you’ve always got a book with you.

7. If you savour a good read like a good cup of tea (If you don’t like tea, then coffee, if you don’t like either choices… then I don’t know what to do with you. I’m sorry.)

8. If you’ve read some of those classical books that no one tries to read because they appear daunting (i.e. a Fitzgerald, Salinger, Austen, Tolstoy, etc, novel.)

9. If you always say, “Oh, yes, I’ve heard of that book!” and meant it… 

10. If you feel weird, lonely, and out-of-place when you go an immensely long time without reading a book.

It isn’t a crime to love books, in fact, it’s a good quality to have. When someone insults them in front of you feel justified in starting a debate, or if someone dares you to admit that yes, you are a book lover, do it with pride. Screw what others think, you’re you. They don’t get to live your life, you do.
